Default Spirit bowling pin aggro question

Anyone else noticing that the AI seems a little smarter towards spirit walls? before they seem to go in and not move now I am noticing them running around spirits and straight for me warriors and bosses only. Could be me but just thought I would check. Just noticed since last patch

I've had that happen several times lately, but I'm not sure when it started.

Doesn't happen to me; could be because I wear Ghost Forge and am also usually amidst the party. Since my party is usually all casters and Ghost Forge puts my armour at 75, I'm a low-priority target.

Hmmm... I was in a Quetzal Crest farming run with my alliance buddies and one of them spirit spammed. Now, at some point my party was attacked instead of the spirits, but that was because those darn birds take a while for their aggro to kick in. And so, they would keep on walking past the spirits and then, boom!

Another scenario involving the farming was when I tanked the birds. They just concentrated on me instead of the spirits and I had Defy Pain up! Granted, the spirits were a little ways behind. At other times when I was running ahead of the team while they were a good length away from me (like the spirits were) the birds went pass me to attack my team. So I might be inclined to believe in this subject. It's going to require rigorous testing to really prove anything, though. If not that, than at least a couple more examples about the aggro toward spirits.

I will give more background I am solo farming in hardmode. I have had a few times warriors attack spirits for a few seconds and then come straight at me. Also have had them run arround the spirit mob to get to me. Before (same creatures same place) they would lock on and stay locked on. I have not changed armor or anything. Could it be Spirit placement? I normally place a spread out line of three then behind drop three in a ball and put shadowsong in the middle.

Go Rt/R or R/Rt and lay traps...

I've found that certain traps (blind/cripple) work wonders on what you describe.

But yeah, certain MOB types seem to target me rather than the spirits (War/Assn)...

I've found 5 spirits, they might get to me - but with 6, I can hide inside them and they can't reach (but of course there's that old sync bug, where you think you're moving but rubber-band SNAP nope!!!).

EDIT: that sync bug is really unacceptable, for a game of this maturity (4 years?!?). To be moving around for over 10 seconds with no lag, yet the client-server can't pinpoint your location?!? That's really bad code.

[radiation field] helps to scatter them. So does that ranger trap [dust trap].
